Funke has years of extensive work experience in the social service industry working with and supporting different populations in Ontario, Quebec and Alberta in the areas of mental health, child welfare, addictions, homelessness, settlement and domestic violence. Funke currently works as a Research and Evaluation Analyst at the Multicultural Health Brokers Coop and also works as a Cultural Broker with the English speaking West African communities. Funke has a B.A. Hons. in Psychology from York University, a Bachelor of Social Work from the University of Calgary, a Registered Social Worker (RSW) with the Alberta College of Social Workers (ACSW) and is currently enrolled in the Adult, Higher and Community Education Master’s program at the University of Alberta.
